What is the Total and partial dentures?
To talk about total and partial dentures we must first understand what exactly are we talking about and who it serves each category.
Full Dentures:
Full dentures it is essentially fake plastic or porcelain teeth on in an acrylic frame-base.
The acrylic base playing role of the gums and false teeth, acrylic or porcelain complement the whole outfit.
The full dentures used in dentistry when there are no teeth in the mouth of the patient or conjunction with implant placement or maintain a minimum of teeth(επένθετες full dentures)

Partial Dentures:
The partial dentures on the other hand, can have skeleton basis of acrylic or cast metal (depending on the case) and on the basis of this applying the fake teeth.
The partial dentures used in dentistry when can't fill the gap in the patient's mouth with bridge provided that there is at least one tooth to support this work.
Many wonder why they can't do a bridge if they have a few teeth in their mouth. The answer is that it is not possible always to fill the void of missing teeth with a bridge, either because we don't have enough teeth left to support a large bridge, or because the patient can't afford the financial exit.

Used the total and partial dentures?
In maxilla when it is gummy (i.e. when there are no teeth) the full denture it is a good solution. It adapts very well in the upper jaw and almost “βεντουζάρει” over the gums and the mucous membrane of the upper jaw.
Everyone's wondering, “but how does he fit without glue?”
Since there are no teeth to keep it in the place of how it stands up there? Logically, shouldn't it fall? The answer here is that the negative pressure.
You can see the maxilla has the design of a suction cup. If you designed the denture properly then its boundaries enclose the upper jaw and the air that goes in between the denture and the mucosa in the dress of the denture's not coming back.
The result is to create a negative pressure within the limits of the denture and basically is held in place. Just, of course, let some air in the denture immediately. That's why it's important to properly design the total denture.
Unfortunately, however, not all people have the appropriate background for a full denture. In these cases no longer need the patient to use a kind of adhesive to be kept for a certain period of time the dentures in position or to favor the solution of implants.
In the mandible, of course, the full dentures are another story.
You see we can't talk about negative pressure in the lower jaw. There is no single place to create this “cupping”. In the mandible, we have the language, the power of the masseter muscle, etc. factors which prevent the adhesion of denture in the lower jaw.
Of course there are a few methods that you can use every dentist to adjust as best as possible the full denture in the lower jaw, as to raise the limits of the denture or to put porcelain veneers instead of acrylic, as well as the porcelain is heavier. The results of these methods vary as every mouth is unique.
So what can we do to stay fixed artificial dentures in the mouth?
There are some solutions for this problem:
- You can use a special glue or special stickers (sold in pharmacies). This method has served a lot of people. Can the stability to keep for a couple of hours, but a lot of people have settled in with this solution.
- Sometimes the problem is solved by retreading the denture in the clinic of the dentist.
Partial dentures do not have a problem with restraint, as well as relying on teeth.
The only problem with that show is that they look the hooks that hold the teeth on the teeth. The hooks on these are metal and create an unsightly image in the smile of the patient.
Of course there are ways to avoid these hooks. One of these is the telescopic crowns where a crown glued on to the tooth brace and the female on the partial denture and so snaps just one hoop on top of the other.
At the same time, the problem, give a solution and the fasteners precision where on the crown of the tooth stud gets something, like the metal buttons that have the shirts, a spherical button and the female's is placed on the denture and thus we have a pluggable application and the partial denture is stabilized.
However, it is important to not forget that both of these solutions elevate enough.
If you are not satisfied with the result of all these solutions and you can cover the extra costs, then you can opt for the dental implants to achieve a better result – stability for the denture or even better still work, namely bridge.

The nice thing about the partial dentures is that you don't need a lot of sessions.
In four sessions it can be prepared the partial denture.
- The first takes the dentist print
- the second is testing the metal frame and determines the height, and the relationship of both jaws
- And in the third test anymore in wax are almost ready for a partial denture.
- If everything is ok the fourth session get ready for the partial denture.
